First of all I have to say that I generally don't write a review. But I felt that I needed to with this series as the characters truly touched my heart. Ella Frank is one of my favorite authors. I have read A LOT of her books and keep coming back for more. She is a strong writer who creates characters who become true to ones heart. It is this type of writing which continues in Masters Among Monsters series. I was lucky enough to read these three books back to back as I felt I needed to read every one with no break. I fell in love with the characters in all these books. To be honest, I cried with this last book in the series. I totally didn't end the way I thought it would, I felt that I needed more and that I was robbed. I wasn't ready. I will miss Vasilios, Alasdair, Leo, Isadora, Diomedes, Elias, Thanos and Paris so much. It was the hopeful relationship of Thanos and Paris which I felt cheated on mostly. Perhaps there will be a continuation? I don't know. One can only hope. For now I will have to rely on my own imagination as their lives continue. The beginning of the end.Tags : Thanos (Masters Among Monsters Book 3) - Kindle edition by Ella Frank. Thanos Masters Among Monsters Book 3 edition by Ella Frank Paranormal Romance eBooks Reviews
4.5 / 5 Stars
When I got my hands on this book, I was super excited.
And now that I'm done with this series, I can only hope there's another book in the near future, if not a novel maybe a short novella... something... anything.
First off, this is not one of those series where you can ingore the this-series-must-be-read-in-order warning because seriously, you won't understand anything if you do.
At this point, we know that Alasdair, Vasilios and Leo are bonded together. On the other hand, Isadora and Elias are reconnecting after his dumb attempt to destroy her, and Diomedes... silently watching like a hawk like always. And finally, we have Thanos as a scarred vamp with an attitude problem and Elton, waiting to explode any moment.
While lies and secrets are revealed, and the truth unfolds, the group need to figure out how to fight back and win if they want to keep their lives and those they love intact.
It was fast-pased compare to the others, with different events and POVs going on at the same time, showing the characters's pasts and giving us such a vast array of emotions that made it even more amazing. I loved that it showed that vampires could feel love even if they acted like they could not. Because yeah, you could feel the love they had for each other like if it were your own. I would have liked to see more of Thanos, Eton and Paris TOGETHER though *sighs*. After all, this was there story.
When I was at 97% I kept thinking how things could go well when everything was going to hell, it was nerve-racking... and then, I had an epiphany and I knew, just knew what was going to happen next.
The ending was bittersweet to me. I did like how all of them finally got to leave their worries and problems behind... but what happened to Eton made me mad (actually, it still makes my blood boils). It was disappointing and the fact that he didn't get a second chance was heartbreaking and unfair. The lack of explanation (because when I reached the end I couldn't believe that was THE end) was the last thing I expected if we keep in mind this is supposed to be the end of the whole series.
Overall, this is one of those series I will come back to for a re-read when I'm in need of some hot and very possessive vamps and handsome young men.

Thanos (Master Among Monsters #3) by Ella Frank
4.5 stars!!!
“It appears that even when the heart stops, it still recognizes the one that it was destined to beat for.”
OMG, this series has been addictive from the very first page of Alasdair and has held me captive throughout Isadora and now Thanos. This is the last book in this trilogy and with the prophecies end coming ever closer you always knew that this book was going to be action packed and emotionally draining and Ella Frank didn’t disappoint. But, I am disappointed though…the series has ended. Ella Frank never fails to embed her characters into my heart and these crazy vampires are nestled firmly in there all cosy and in for the long haul and that is a great sign that an author has done their job, when the characters are so memorable that you don’t want to let them go.
This series must be read in order and Thanos picks up where Isadora left off with Thanos angry at the ancients for the current situation he finds himself in. With the threat of the Gods getting stronger by the day though, these vampires need to stick together and never before have their bonds been so conducive to their survival.
“…I see every line, every jagged scar marring your otherwise perfect face. And it’s a glaring reminder that we were sent here to hurt you. That we are the true monsters in this equation, not you.”
Thanos and Eton’s relationship has never really been explained in the previous books, but you always had an inkling that they were bonded differently than the others. Eton and Thanos’s dynamic was totally different to Alasdair and Vasilios and Isadora and Diomedes and I was always left wondering…why? It was the enigma surrounding these two that made this book all the more intriguing and as little by little we are fed their past, everything soon becomes clear and I never saw it coming.
“You are like the thorns on a rose, Thanos. A painful beauty. One I will always want to hold, no matter the blood it draws from me.”
Actually, there was a lot I never saw coming, especially the ending. I will say I was happy with how this ended although I would have liked a little more explanation. For me personally it did end a little too abruptly and after the intense build up I was just expecting more. Is this the ending I thought? Hell no…did Ella Frank blind side me? Hell yes.
“I am not the knight who will save you, Paris Antoniou. I am the night in your nightmares.”
With regards to Leo, Elias and Paris the dynamic has definitely shifted, Leo being bonded to Alasdair and Vasilios, Elias now very closely intertwined with Isadora and Diomedes and Paris trying to infiltrate Thanos and Eton... a ménage of ménage. Are these threesomes instrumental in the success of the prophecy or are these just a spanner in the works? Could the Gods really have underestimated the allure of the ancients and their first-sired?
“You and your friends…you are the fire. The flood. The plague. You are the end of all ends that we are helpless to resist or fight. And it has already started. Don’t you see? You are our destruction – but for me, you will also be my salvation.”
This has been much more than a M/M / M/M/M vampire erotic romance, while those scenes will forever be burned into my memory the story itself will always hold a special place. This trilogy has been plot driven from the very start and how this has all tied in throughout all three books has been a masterclass from Ella Frank. Unique, addictive, compelling, intriguing and totally unputdownable, this series has kept me on my toes from the very start. The research and the attention to detail has been mesmerising, the visceral scene setting transporting me with every book, a world I could picture through words alone and characters that came to life with ease.
“I will always save you, Thanos. Even when it is from yourself.”
As I said once before… “Once again, I am blown away by an Ella Frank book, she has taken me on a journey through multiple genres over the years and I have come to the conclusion that there is nothing this woman cannot write. She continually shocks me with her diversity and not only the fact that she tries to be different but also that she nails it every time. Extremely talented lady and one that is on my all-time favourite authors list, if you haven’t checked her out before, please do, you are in for some amazing reads.”
